If you are finally in Riga and just can't make up your mind about where to have a beautiful romantic dinner, then this page is for you! You can find a great variety of restaurants both in City center and Old town. You can feel the atmosphere of our town sitting in one of the good cafes or restaurants that are situated on the narrow streets of Old Town of Riga. We understand how difficult is to find a fine place for a romantic date and how important it is. We advise you to visit the following places in Riga. Vincents ( upmarket)

Recently Vincents has undergone some renovations, involving extensive redecorations and better ventilation system. Every month some novelties appear in the menu, according to the culinary season. Sushi nave left the menu (for the desperate ones: you can still order them in advance), but instead don't miss out on the Gourmet Journey, consisting of seven mini masterpieces. Special simmer grill terrace!

Gutenbergs (upmarket)

This upmarket restaurant offers Balto-Germanic cuisine meals, wide assortment of world's famous drinks and good wine cabinet that together with silent instrumental music creates warm and cozy atmosphere.

La Salsa (moderate prices)

You can find European and Tex-Mex dishes spiced-up by non-stop Latino music. You can also learn Salsa and Meringue and to practice it on hot weekends night parties.

Pizza Jazz (inexpensive)

Each of the Pizza Jazz restaurants is different in its own way and is worth a visit: clean, modern interior, nice atmosphere and good music. It offers a variety of pizzas, mostly prepared with Latvian ingredients but with a decent taste.

Velvet

During the working days, a special lunch menu is available from 12.00 - 16.00, don't be baffled by the price - cheap (just 2Ls) does not mean there is anything wrong with it! Try the slivers of chicken breast with jasmine rice. Free entrance and good 80s-90s music attract hordes of people of all ages daily every evening from 21.00.

Lido Atputas centrs

Lido Atputas centrs is one of the largest corner-jointed buildings in Europe, hosting up to 1000 guests, presenting a unique type of wooden building. Latvian and European kitchen, 3 kinds of LIDO home-made unfiltered beer. Live Latvian folk music every evening 19.00 - 23.00 in the Beer Cellar. Children and their parents can enjoy special attractions and entertainment, open-air dancing, concerts, fairs and presentations.

T.G.I. Friday's

Huge burgers, buffalo wings (but modified to Latvian standards), steaks and ribs and American paraphernalia - a Yankee paradise in Riga at one of the prime Old Town locations - it has taken over Jever bisto, the oldest pioneer of the free market. American-style and definitely overwhelming service with waitresses dressed in Mickey-hats and suspenders.

Asia

Located in the very heart of Old Riga Asia China Restaurant reveals the secrets of eastern cuisine. The Bellevue Restaurant

Columbine

Monterosso

This Italian Restaurant is situated in the city center. It is like something out of a Godfather movie and verge on gaudy. But Monterosso, by most accounts, serves some of the finest Italian food in Riga. Main dishes range from 10 to 40 dollars.
